Guidelines for Behaviour at EO Gatherings

EO gatherings are occasions for families to meet and enjoy the company of others of all ages. EO Gatherings are usually very friendly and welcoming events and we try to keep rules to a minimum. If difficulties do arise they are almost always sorted out amicably by discussion within the group. The organisers do, however, reserve the right to have the final word on issues affecting the safety of people and property. With this in mind the following guidelines for behaviour will apply throughout the gathering:

Everyone is expected:

- to be respectful in their treatment of others of all ages

- to be responsible in their treatment of the venue where the gathering is held

- to be responsible in their use of alcohol.

- to smoke only outside, and away from doors into buildings

- not to bring or use illegal drugs

Families must accept any regulations or safety restrictions imposed by the management of the premises or by the organiser of the event.

The organisers may exclude from the event any family of which a member refuses to behave safely.

Children and young people under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians, though another adult may act in loco parentis provided that the parent writes to the organisers confirming the arrangement when booking.

In any dispute, the organisers' word is final.

If anyone experiences any difficulties during the gathering they should speak to the organisers or to the "safe" people who will be appointed for each gathering.
