Family membership of EO gives your home-educating family access to all of EO’s support facilities for a year. Standard new-member benefits include:
- welcome letter with details of your Local Contact volunteer
- membership card for proof of EO membership when claiming concessions, etc.
- online access to printable truancy card with key clauses of the law regarding home education and truancy
- quarterly EO newsletter by post (also online access to newsletter and business bulletins)
- online access to a list of organisations, retailers, attractions etc. which provide concession prices for EO members
- online access to the confidential members’ Directory for getting in touch with other home educators, and the opportunity to list your own family’s details

- access to Public Liability Insurance for Local HE groups run by EO members for just £10 , via EO's collective policy.
- access to the members-only area of the EO Members’ Forum (separate registration from website)
- the ability to become a voting member (a.k.a. guarantor or Signed-Up Member) of EO, and/or volunteer to help run the organisation and support your fellow home educators.
